Snow king resorts to heavy winter in U.S. resort

Snow king and other resorts across the country are dealing with snow storms and a heavy downpour this weekend as the remnants of the blizzard in the Pacific Northwest make its way south, and California’s governor is urging residents to stay off the slopes as well.

Snow and cold weather have already prompted cancellations at resorts like Snow King Resort in the U.K., which is expecting a 40% drop in weekend bookings.

Snow King is expecting another 50% drop as the storm approaches the resort.

The resort said on Sunday that the forecast for Sunday’s snowfall is a 40- to 50-foot fall by the time the ski area opens at 2 p.m.

Monday.

The resort has canceled its Saturday night and Sunday night snowshoers and its Saturday morning and Sunday morning snowshoeing, and will offer the two-day, two-night, two day and two night resorts only from 6 a.m.-4 p.s.

Sunday.

Snow King has also decided to cancel its Friday and Saturday night snowboarding, which had been slated to start at noon.
