In an appearance Saturday at the ski resort of Avista, Colorado, President Donald Trump is expected to join the ski resorts community at a celebration of ski season and the first day of skiing at ski resorts across the country.
Trump will travel to Colorado on Saturday to meet with Avista ski resort officials, including co-owner John Stearns, as well as Colorado’s governor, Michael Hancock, and Colorado state and local officials.
The visit will be the first in more than a year by Trump, who last visited Colorado in January and again in March.
The White House has not yet announced the exact date of the visit, and Trump has not visited Colorado since June.
Trump’s visit comes at a time of heightened tension between the U.S. and North Korea, which is conducting its third nuclear test this year.
Trump is also expected to host a rally for the Republican nominee in Colorado Springs on Sunday, where he is scheduled to discuss his tax plan.
