The Walt Disney Company announced Thursday that it has hired former Pixar Animation Studios head Chris Moore to oversee the future of its theme parks and resorts.
Moore has been in charge of Disney’s theme parks for the past seven years, and previously was vice president of Walt Disney Imagineering.
He previously was Disney’s chief creative officer and chief architect for the Disneyland Resort.
Moore will join Disney as vice president for Disney’s California Adventure Parks.
He will join the company in February 2018, and Disney will have a full-time chief operating officer.
