Posted November 05, 2019 05:30:56 A resort near Seattle, Washington, is offering a $15 “cash back” for a single night’s stay at the hotel that was shuttered in 2015 amid a devastating wildfire.
The resort, Woodloches Woodlarks Resort, closed its doors on November 1, 2015 amid an ongoing wildfire that claimed the lives of 30 people and caused millions of dollars in damage.
The hotel was slated to reopen the following year, but a fire destroyed much of the property in January 2018.
After years of planning and negotiations, the resort announced on December 14 that it would reopen in 2019, but the resort’s owners say it is still closed.
The new hotel will be open from January 1 to March 1.
The Woodlows were the largest private resort in the US, with 5,000 rooms and 1,400 rooms of recreational facilities.
The resort was scheduled to reopen in 2020, but was forced to shut down by a wildfire in March 2018, when the hotel was engulfed in flames.
