Beaver Creek Resort and Breckensridge Ski Resort in Wyoming have closed for the season due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the resort said on Tuesday.
The resort issued a news release saying it had shut down the resort on Wednesday because of the outbreak.
“Due to the high number of new cases, we have been forced to shut down Breckes River Resort, the largest ski resort in the state of Wyoming.
This resort is the only ski area in Wyoming that is currently closed due to a health threat, and we will be reopening soon,” the statement said.
“As a result, we are advising guests to travel to Brecks Valley or Breck Meadows.
We are in the process of opening up Brecks River Resort in 2019.
We have already reopened Brecks Meadows, so that should allow us to reopen all the other resorts as well.”
