By now, you’ve probably heard about the trip to the Caribbean that was originally planned for this past winter.
The resort would have featured a spectacular ocean view, a boat tour, a spectacular resort dining experience, and a private island with a swimming pool.
However, things went south, and the resort was cancelled after a hurricane struck the island, killing at least 14 people.
Now, it seems that the resort is back on the drawing board and the $100 million trip is in the works.
“The plan is to put the resort on ice by November and see if we can get it back on ice before the end of January, which is very important,” a spokesperson for the Walt Disney World Resort told ABC News.
“This is our most important project for the next decade, and we need to do everything we can to get it right.
We’re in this to the finish line, and I don’t think we’ve been able to put this project together properly.”
While this resort is still under construction, we’ve heard rumors that a resort could be in the offing, but not necessarily in the Caribbean.
“We’re very close to doing something in the Pacific, and that’s a very exciting thing,” a source close to the project told ABCNews.com.
“I don’t know if it’s a real resort, but there’s a possibility that we could be putting some of the islands in the Bahamas or somewhere.”
The source said the project has been on hold while the resort recovers, and he believes that it could be back in the water by December or January.
Disney has yet to confirm the existence of the resort, which has been set up as a resort for guests staying in the resort hotels and resorts in Mexico.
